Why..
Wetlands with natural hydrological regime along the Danube River in Serbia were recognized as sites of high conservation importance at both national and international levels. Due to time and cost consuming of the traditional fieldwork, the routine monitoring programs do not target these special and utterly fragile habitats.
The aim of this project is to develop a cost-effective and non-invasive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle multimetric system for detection of freshwater patches of high conservation value within the Danube floodplain in Serbia. System could help to focus the detailed monitoring actions toward pre-selected freshwater patches. In that way available funds could be oriented in the most effective way.
