Periphyton

At each sampling site periphyton samle was taken from submerged strata of aquatic vegetation stand. Samples were taken by plastic cylinder which provided constant sample volume on each location.

Epiphyton

Ten fragments of leaf stalk (10cm each) from dominant aquatic plant species within the vegetation stand was collected at each sampling site in order to determine and quantify epiphytic algae community.

Phytoplankton

Qualitative and quantitative phytoplankton samples were collected at each sampling site. Qualitative samples were collected with a plankton net that was submerged 20 cm below the water surface and then passed through the water. Quantitative samples were obtained by immersion of 50ml plastic container 20cm below the water surface and filling it with lake water. Both types of samples were fixed with Lugol's iodine solution.
