During summer months of 2019 exessive fieldwork was conducted in four wetland areas along the Danube river in Serbia. Data for aquatic vegetation, macrozoobenthos and water quality and UAV imagery were collected simultaneously in 20 fluvial lakes. Sampling was performed on one to six sampling points per a pond/lake, in total on 68 sampling points. Number and location of sample points per freshwater patch were chosen to cover all freshwater habitat types (sensu EUNIS classification, NATURA 2000 and National Habitat Classification System Official Gazette of RS, no. 35/2010) present at chosen fluvial lakes and ponds.
